Description

For gourmets and food lovers, these Gaeta PDO olives are the perfect delight and are locally produced. They are slightly tapered and purple in colour with a vinous flavour. The “Gaeta” is also used to produce an excellent olive oil. These olives are versatile in the kitchen and loved by chefs. This typical olive from Latium was very popular in the XV century. The population exported Gaeta’s oil and olives throughout the Mediterranean areas, as they were sought after for their excellent quality and developed to such a standard due to the strong agricultural, commercial and navigation skills of the farmers.
